Many of our auctions can now be watched online, thanks to a new service being operated jointly by Auction House and Essential Information Group. The webcast is a real bonus for sellers who no longer need to attend the auction in person, but can watch from the comfort of their homes or office desk. The launch of live broadcasts is part of the Auction House plan to make its auctions more publicly available and to enable anyone to see lots selling in real time. Announcing the new facility, Bryan Baxter said, “This service is to help those sellers that are unable to attend the auction room. We also see it as an educational tool with new sellers and buyers being able to see and hear the auction live. As auctions grow in popularity the need for better publicity is obvious. Live broadcasting is a new addition that is already being appreciated and valued, and we expect audience numbers to grow as more people become aware of the service.”
